MARS INVADES EARTH

Martian Meteorite Dated To 3.9 Billion Year Old
http://www.spacedaily.com/spacecast/news/mars-meteor-99a.html
Houston - October 6, 1999 - A new study of the
carbonate minerals found in a meteorite from Mars
shows they were formed about 3.9 billion years ago.
Some Scientists believe the planet had flowing
surface water and warmer temperatures then, making
it more Earth-like. Giant meteorites were blasting
huge craters in its surface.

SPACE SCIENCE

Cometary Puzzle Points To Distant Large Object
http://www.spacedaily.com/spacecast/news/comet-99b.html
Cambridge - October 7, 1999 - Intrigued by the fact
that long-period comets observed from Earth seem to
follow orbits that are not randomly oriented in space,
a scientist at the Open University in the UK is arguing
that these comets could be influenced by the gravity
of a large undiscovered object in orbit around the Sun
some 300 billion miles out give or take a few million
kilometers.

A Galactic Wide Dark Secret
http://www.spacedaily.com/spacecast/news/bigbang-99l.html
Vancouver - October 6, 1999 - Canadian scientists
think the answer to one of astronomy's most perplexing
questions: What is the galaxy made of? and where's all
the mass. The answer,.. a galaxy full of dead dwarf stars
that lost all their heat and essentially "dark matter."

astronomers has discovered a moon orbiting the asteroid
(45)Eugenia using new distortion correction techniques
