META: why we are moving
Michael Nielsen <mnielsen@yulb5d-f37r-avysI0HHJeICrXxmB6TVAyHIVFdZwR8Y7lCSk1TaZoI8N8QvbRBETSwj_KfSZ6PJbeFz5lgmA0crt8U.yahoo.invalid> rightfully told me that
the policy for moving the list is quite unclear. Apologies: let's set
the matters straight quickly.
Rationale: we had to move the list because the majordomo at the
Excelsior site was randomly censoring (silently discarding)
submissions, and has been doing this for some time. I've only found
this out recently, by scrutinizing the archives and missing a lot of
my posts. I have no explanations as to why this happens (overstringent
antispam rules, maybe?). Pat Moss <pmoss@kG8zpC6MYodsbwzMV48NxhkoJMEzaDB6yfm3bCeAd8BDgk17JWdMjJOTCe5XMaeXmOgvVf15KNYM6rVm.yahoo.invalid>, the
administrator of the PlanetX/Excelsior site who has been hosting us
for so long for free, seems to be unavailable for comment.
For a time being, I suggest we Cc: both lists when we send messages to
not lose those who haven't made the move yet. However, I would like to
see transhumantech@KZn4s0CQI0mwvLLcvf_FIE95SEWKo7ZYIWTBshM__7DOWJJsH00UB5mLgG-wZKv7hNxvNaJcDTD9UqsKu_w9MopgMbU.yahoo.invalid to die quickly, as quickly as
possible. (As soon as I know how, I'll be setting up a unidirectional
forward from transhumantech@KZn4s0CQI0mwvLLcvf_FIE95SEWKo7ZYIWTBshM__7DOWJJsH00UB5mLgG-wZKv7hNxvNaJcDTD9UqsKu_w9MopgMbU.yahoo.invalid to
transhumantech@onelist.com, there will be no such forward in the
opposite direction).
I urge you to unsubscribe from transhumantech@KZn4s0CQI0mwvLLcvf_FIE95SEWKo7ZYIWTBshM__7DOWJJsH00UB5mLgG-wZKv7hNxvNaJcDTD9UqsKu_w9MopgMbU.yahoo.invalid (by
sending "unsubscribe" in message body to majordomo@90elD7zJe4DX2NXueqeg85msyVVe-SPEFpP7qYZxImwQwxP12BswTHWtK10uKJHzyRehm_rUhYwRfotEuF9y.yahoo.invalid) and
subscribe to transhumantech@onelist.com. Here are the details:

I'm sorry for the move being not so transparent as I would have liked
it, but I have little control on the way onelist.com is doing
things. The little advertisements at the end of the messages can be
annoying, but this is a free service, after all.
When I get my private Unix box on the Net with a point in namespace
guaranteed to last for at least one decade we'll move once again,
hopefully much more smoothly.
Thanks for listening.
