Incidentally, the Körperwelten plastination expositions (the last one wasi=
n Berlin, the next one will be somewhere in Belgium, I believe) are doing ju=
st that: breaking down the taboos that surround dead bodies and death in gen=
eral, and making people thinks about such things. The expos have been an ove=
rwhelming success, mind you. Now, it's time to take the next logical step an=
d use this technique to challenge death itself. Prof. Gunther von Hagens' "c=
ontroversial" expositions may have, in the long(er) run, substantially contr=
ibute to more public awareness and open-mindedness regarding cryonics and ot=
her potentially life-saving preservation techniques.
